About
An independent calendar for Korea.
Why this site exists
The best reason to pick your travel dates is often a festival, an event, or an attraction with tickets so hard to get that landing one settles the whole trip. The trouble is that the dates and the ticket windows are scattered across hundreds of official sites, many of them in Korean, and most change a little every year.
We built Korea What's On with the same method as our sister sites: every listing is checked against the organiser or an official source, the Korea Tourism Organization's own portals included, and the concert spine comes from the platforms Koreans actually buy from, NOL Ticket, Melon Ticket and YES24. We know which festivals are worth crossing the country for, which weekends fill the arenas' districts, and which dates are still only tradition until the organiser publishes.
So we collect the things that can move a flight booking or anchor a trip: the award shows and the dome runs, the Busan fireworks and the Hwacheon ice festival, the marathon and the biennales, the big expos at COEX, KINTEX and BEXCO, and the attractions people build a visit around. Every record is checked before it goes live and re-checked on a rolling basis; the check date is shown on the event page.
Some dates are not published when we first list an event. Those are labelled a tentative date everywhere they appear, with the basis explained on the event page. We would rather show you an honest window than a confident guess.
The family
Korea What's On is the sister site of Japan What's On, Thailand What's On, Hong Kong Happenings, Singapore Happenings, Taiwan What's On, Philippines What's On, Malaysia What's On, Macau What's On and Macau Deals, part of the Maison V group of travel sites, built and run by the same team. Maison V is our travel advisory, where the same research goes into planning complete journeys.
How we make money
Korea What's On is free to read and funded by affiliate commission. When you book through a button marked "affiliate link", the seller (Klook, Trip.com, KKday or another partner) pays us a commission. The price you pay is set by the seller and does not change because you used our link. Buttons marked "via Maison V" go to our sister company, which earns advisor commission on the stays it books. Commission never decides whether an event is listed or how it is described, and we do not accept payment for listings.
Event, venue, attraction and company names are the trademarks of their owners and are used here to identify them. Korea What's On is not affiliated with or endorsed by any organiser, venue or booking partner.
